Thanks to all the Artists and Guests

We had a great time at the Buddy’s Bluegrass at the Banquet Hall Concert Series and hope you did to!

Here’s a list of the past events.

The Tim Shelton Experience

The Tim Shelton Syndicate is made up of NewFound Road co-founders Tim Shelton and Jr. Williams as well as NFR alum, Joe Booher, on mandolin. Ryan Greer is on the bass and Pittsburgh native, Avery Welter, on guitar. In short order, The Tim Shelton Syndicate has proven to be an exciting and powerful presence on stage. The band effortlessly transitions from hard driving, intense Bluegrass tunes to heart wrenching ballads, even adding elements of Classic Rock, all while remaining anchored to Bluegrass music.

The Po Ramblin Boys

At a time when most people feel constantly distracted by technology and barraged by the news, authenticity and straightforward honesty are paramount. There’s something about the music of The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys that cuts right through the noise of the world and speaks plainly to the soul. Formed in the Smoky Mountains, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys are at once exactly what you would expect and not at all what you would expect from a tattooed East Tennessee Bluegrass outfit.

Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road

Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road have a distinct sound and charismatic stage show, which sets them apart from many traditional bluegrass bands. Affectionately known as the “Lady of Tradition” in bluegrass, Lorraine has fronted Carolina Road for over 15 years. The band’s distinct sound and old time flair can be attributed to the bluegrass-rich area of North Carolina from which they hail and borrow their name. As the founding member and band leader for Carolina Road, Lorraine Jordan’s showmanship and chemistry with the audience makes the group one of the most popular bands among bluegrass fans today.

July 22nd Rhonda Vincent and the Rage

Rhonda Vincent and The Rage are the most decorated band in bluegrass, with over 100 awards to their credit. Among their honors are a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album; Song of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, and an unrivaled seven consecutive (plus an 8th) Female Vocalist of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA).

The Special Consensus

Special Consensus’ sound is grounded in a deep appreciation and understanding of bluegrass music; the infectious band sound reminds people of the past while utilizing the innovations of today. With the foundation of Greg’s unique banjo playing style, Greg Blake (guitar), Dan Eubanks (bass) and Michael Prewitt (mandolin) effortlessly support each other and consistently maintain their bluegrass center whether they’re playing a jazz-tinged instrumental or a song from any of their award-winning recordings. These four talented vocalists and instrumentalists follow their creative desires without straying too far from their roots.
